The Modern Language Program is an excellent choice for anybody interested in pursuing university studies and exciting careers

This program offers courses designed to prepare you for university study in a number of different fields and ultimately for a wide range of careers. In the language portion of our program, we offer beginner, intermediate and advanced levels of instruction in German, Italian, Mandarin, Russian and Spanish. We offer specialized courses for advanced students and native speakers. Modern Languages students have the advantage of being part of a large Cegep with excellent facilities and wide course choice in addition to belonging to a small, friendly program that provides individualized attention and very supportive relations between students and faculty. Language Studies Develops Skills in Many Areas
Studying languages can help you develop valuable skills that are important to any field of work. Students will learn to better express ideas and to think clearly, acquire insights into human behaviour and motivation, and stimulate their imagination and creativity. Acquired skills that will enhance a student's career are:

· effective speaking

· group communications

· becoming an attentive reader and listener

· improving writing skills

· better able to communicate instructions and feelings

· becoming familiar with reference materials such as dictionaries grammars, and other sources of information

· better understand the literary, historical and artistic context of language studies.
